The sharing before everyone in church....scary!

Year 2005 was the year I became a Christian. I think becoming a Christian, to have a relationship with God is indeed a process. During days where I was struggling with accepting Christ into my life, one of my closest friends encouraged me with this "You have to take one more step, a step of faith, to say "yes! Jesus! I believe in what you have done for me."

A big thank You to God for bringing this special friend into my life. She is S.

S bought me closer to our Lord, bringing me to cell group, bible studies, bible trails, bringing Christ into my heart. I think the best and most beautiful gifts cannot be seen or touched, they must be felt by the heart. It's been very encouraging to see her serve Christ with all her heart.

Aunty A once wrote me, "God is always good, and I believe you also experience His love and wonders. C, I think you have a really thoughtful mother. And I thank God for letting me know you both better. Like mother, like daughter.

God is amazing. He has seen me through times where I thought I really couldn't go on. Prayers work wonders, and I think it's very wonderful to be able to talk to our God, anytime, anywhere...and He listens, and answers. I like talking to God, I hope everyone here likes too.

I got to know people better too. I realise from Aunty H Y that her children are named ABC children. The three of them are indeed alike in certain aspects (HUH?), and makes us smile with their unique-ness as siblings.

I realise how beautiful friendships can be through little J and C. Somehow when they laugh together, they make everyone around them happy. I've learnt from N that he is a caring brother, he asked sincerely, "Is my sister ok?" when K hurt her muscle during the camp. I was really touched.

I told myself to be a better sister to my jie-jies and di-di (almost cried when I reach here...) C and her family taught me how fun flying kite together can be, and that spending time with people closet to us is important.

I am grateful to my parents for allowing me to go for cell group, bible studies. I've been praying for my family that I can be a good testimony of what a child of God is like, and that I would love them at all times. I truly thank pa for fetching me to church on sundays. For ma and pa, I thank them for their understanding hearts, for letting me worship God together with everyone here on Sundays. Maybe one day, they will be here with us.

For cell group, Aunty F and family, thank you for letting us have your place, and feeding us with snacks, desserts. Uncle Sonny, thank you for your fridays spent with us, travelling home late must have been tiring. I will keep in my heart what I've learnt about God. T, thank you for openly sharing, letting us know that it's important to ask ourselves -- "where are we really in our relationship with God". D, thank you for driving us from here to there, we will always remember to buckle our seat belts. S, thank you for your smiles. D and you make a fun loving and loving couple. T and you make the bestest of friends.

And to J, A, S, C, thank you for being whom each of you are.

Lastly wanna end with what C shared with me before:
God didn't promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow,
sun without rain,
but He did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears
and Light for the way.

I pray for each of us to love and honour God in everything we do. =))yay!
